Some fun, and fairly [traditional conventional], ideas include the birthday person getting the centerpiece. At each table, the individual who has a birthday nearest to the marriage ceremony received the centerpiece. Or if there man and wife at the table, the couple who have been together the longest can get the centerpiece, or the pair who were married recent times. Possibly the centerpiece should go to the individual with the longest hair, or the strangest shoes (again, this could be voted on by tablemates).
